One of the major roles of AMPLA is to provide relevant information regarding resources and energy law to its members. To this end AMPLA produces a number of publications. The Australian Resources and Energy Law Journal (formerly Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Journal)

The Australian Resources and Energy Law Journal (ARELJ) (formerly Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Journal) is produced three to four times each year in association with The Centre for Resources, Energy and Environmental Law of the University of Melbourne, The Centre for Mining, Energy and Natural Resources Law of the University of Western Australia and The School of Law of the University of Waikato, New Zealand.
